Women’s Empowerment Summit 2026: The Women Who Make Us Braver

Meet Jamie Medler: The Woman Who Can Keep a Whole Town Safe and Still Make You Laugh at a PTA Meeting

Welcome to our Women’s Empowerment Summit 2026 spotlight series — a behind-the-scenes introduction to the powerhouse women who will be speaking on February 21 at Treetops Resort in Gaylord, Michigan. Each panelist brings a unique lens to women’s growth, courage, and connection. Today, we’re highlighting Jamie Medler who is speaking on Personal Safety.

There is a special type of woman who can switch from “gentle kindergarten paraprofessional” to “you do NOT want to test me” faster than you can say flashlight on the belt.

That woman is Jamie.

Her story reads like a season-long drama on your favorite streaming service - undercover narcotics, detective work, chief of police - except in her version, there are more school libraries and fewer explosions. But here’s the twist: behind the badge, behind the tough-as-nails training, Jamie cares so deeply that she practically radiates it.

She has seen the quiet vulnerabilities that often go unseen. She has sat with children and women in their most fragile moments and offered steadiness where others offered silence. Her whole career has been about protection, dignity, and telling people, “You’re safe here.”

And somehow - somewhere between law enforcement, child advocacy, parenting twins, and wrangling the family dog, Ted - she remains one of the most grounded, warm, laugh-with-your-whole-body women you’ll ever meet.

At the Summit, Jamie is going to guide us through physical safety the way she lives it: practical, empowering, and rooted in compassion. The kind of information every woman deserves, but too few are ever taught.

Bring a notebook. Bring your questions. Bring the part of yourself that wants to feel braver.

Jamie’s got you.
